Innovation 2008

B-HERT has over a number of years played a leading role in raising the profile of entreprenuership, R&D, innovation and commercialisation.

The conduit between universities/research institutions and business is one of the critical links, especially if we are to move forward to being a knowledge nation.

To add value to the Australian government's review of the national innovation system, B-HERT is co-hosting the ONLY major conference post the release of the Green Paper to be produced by the Review Panel by 31 July 2008.

The portfolio minister (Senator Kim Carr) and the chair of the review (Dr Terry Cutler) will be keynote presenters.

Members of B-HERT qualify for a 15% discount off the standard registration fee.

The conference will generate substantial outcomes as considered input into the White Paper to be produced subsequently by the Government, and therefore I envisage broad participation from the HE/research and business sectors.
