John Paitaridis, Optus Business, Joins BHERT Board
BHERT is delighted to announce that Mr John Paitaridis, Managing Director of Optus Business, joined the BHERT Board in April 2017.
Mr Paitaridis has over 25 years experience in the ICT industry, including 10 years based in Europe and Asia. He is recognised as a leader in the IT industry in Australia, and brings a wealth of business insight to BHERT. He is currently the Chairman of the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA), and is well-known for his contributions on innovation strategy.
Mr Paitaridis noted: “Optus has joined BHERT to work with Australia’s leading companies and universities to facilitate and improve collaboration. I believe industry must play a leadership role and I am delighted to join the BHERT Board to drive real change.”
BHERT President, Mr Ken Boal, welcomed Mr Paitaridis to the Board. “Over the last 3 years, we have brought together an exciting leadership team to BHERT, including the Vice-Chancellor of UNSW, Flinders University and University of Newcastle, and leaders from PwC and Westpac, as well as eminent individuals such as Ashley Goldsworthy and Martin Stewart-Weeks. John adds considerably to our team and we look forward to working with him.”
